Ayur-vana's mild curry, the digestive and appetizing spice


Sweet Kari is a blend of spices native to India. Known in the West as Mild Curry , there are many commercially available preparations.

Ayur-vana Kari invites you to travel and is used as much for its aromatic flavor as for its virtues. Indeed, Turmeric, Ginger, Coriander, Cinnamon, Black Pepper and Nutmeg are renowned for their action on digestion , which they stimulate and facilitate . For their part, Nutmeg and Fenugreek promote the appetite to indulge in small dishes.

In Ayurveda the Kari is suitable for the 3 doshas .

Trick

Recipe for a Kari / lentil and spinach curry

ingredients:
 Kari powder according to your taste
   1 cup of red lentils
   3 times its volume in salt water
   2 handfuls of baby spinach leaves
   1 yellow onion
   2 cloves garlic
   1 3 cm long piece of fresh ginger root
   The juice of a lemon
   Salt pepper
   Colza oil

Preperation :
  • Peel the ginger and cut 2 slices (chop the rest).
 in a saucepan of cold water, place the red lentils and the 2 slices of ginger to flavor the preparation.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Skim the white foam then put on a low heat until the lentils are reduced to almost a puree.
  • Remove the 2 slices of ginger and reserve the lentils.
  • In another saucepan, heat three tablespoons of oil.
  • Add the finely chopped onion to melt it.
  • Add the garlic and the chopped ginger, as well as the Kari according to your taste. Salt and pepper.
  • Add the lentil puree, lemon juice and spinach.
 Mix gently.
   Cook for about 2 minutes to soften the spinach without losing its color.
